When I was in high school, I wasn’t a strong student because I focused more on art then academics. I always assumed I’d go to college, but never thought about how difficult it would be to get accepted with a below average GPA. I applied for 3 schools and only one of them had me in to talk. They brought me in on a probationary status for the first few semesters. That school was the College of Visual Arts. They gave me a break and in return, I worked my ass off for the next 4 years and found a career that I fell in love with.

Sadly, earlier this week they announced that they’d close their doors after 89 years due to the economic downturn. You can read the full story here.

To celebrate the school I decided to share some posters designed for CVA by a few Alumni – Ben Levitz (the fist 3 posters) and Sam Soulek (the last poster).
