I just got finished with an amazing trip to St. Louis courtesy of AIGA. They had Lotta Nieminen, Aaron Becker and myself out to judge the local chapter’s design show. From the moment I got off the plane to the moment I boarded to go home everyone made us feel welcome. In addition to judging and speaking at the show we each gave a lunch lecture at a few different local studios and then toured two other studios as a group. We even squeezed in a trip to Eero Saarinen’s Gateway Arch.

I want to give a special thank you to Simon Lam and Martin Brief for driving us around and dealing with the three of us. It was amazing to be introduced to your city with such a warm welcome.

This was where I stopped to lecture over lunch. Their space is a renovated church and was pretty beautiful on the inside. It was one of the most unique and bad ass spaces I’ve ever been in.
